Welcome to Joyful Mindful Living.
Here I share some of the ways I enrich my life with joy and wisdom. I’m on a journey of healing my inner child which has led to viewing the world with more childlike wonder and creating a life I love. A quote that was credited to Benjamin Franklin said...
“Some people die at 30, and aren’t buried until 75”.
This is a much more daunting way to say, don’t get stuck in a rut of obligations and forget how to enjoy life.
The desire to find joy and remain curious led me to explore ways to enrich my life with 1000s of tiny moments and not let a single one of those moments escape me. Albert Einstein once said,
“There are 2 ways to live, you can live as if nothing is a miracle or you can live as if everything is a miracle”.
Join me as we choose the latter.

As an author I write children's books that I wish were read to me as a child, they are inspired by those moments in life where I think “I wish I knew this sooner”. I wrote my first children's book “Journey to Dreamland” about the peaceful moment that sits in that brief second between being awake and falling asleep. I spent a lot of my life struggling with sleep and I was an adult when I learnt the difference between falling asleep and passing out from exhaustion.
Mindfulness allowed me to learn how to fall asleep by focusing on my breath and being able to focus my attention on my body. Finding how to get into that place in my mind that is not replaying the past or planning the future pulls me into that space where you can drift into sleep which is the inspiration of Journey to Dreamland.
Throughout this blog, I will be sharing these personal discoveries that help enrich our lives and sharing ways to be mindful, create joy and foster a community where we can learn, grow, and share our stories.
